Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.
Elfers is in Pasco County, Florida; the town was incorporated from 1925 to 1933. It was named after a favored uncle of the first postmaster's wife (by her) when the first post office was opened in 1909. Before that, it had been known as “the Baillie settlement”. The railroad was extended to Elfers in 1913 to assist the citrus industry. Elfers' school, the first brick building in western Pasco County, was opened in 1915; it was replaced in 1966 and later re-opened in 2013 as a CARES Center with a cafe, an auditorium, and the New Port Richey Public Library's Avery Branch.
