Named after the capital of Poland (which was the homeland of Thaddeus Kosciusko), Warsaw, Indiana is an hour's drive from Fort Wayne and is the county seat of Kosciusko County. It was first settled by Europeans around 1834 and flourished with the arrival of the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railway in 1854.
