The Great Outdoors

Intended to help stop flooding in Iowa City, Coralville Lake is also the ideal place to go if you enjoy water sports. Visitors are welcome to fish, with a purpose-built fishing pier jutting out into the lake; there are also ramps to launch boats and other activities including swimming. The lake is also perfect for fossil hunters as lots of fossilized coral was found in the nearby Devonian Gorge when the water receded, making this the ideal place to take kids with a passion for dinosaurs.

There a few small campgrounds scattered around Coralville Lake, and this one includes 20 paved sites. Some of these campsites include full hookups, and others support electric-only hookups, with 30 and 50 amp service. Showers and restrooms can be found on site, and the proximity of Coralville Lake means you'll never be short on activities.

Iowa City is a fairly major city in the local vicinity, meaning you won't have to go far to get everything you need when you stay here. Iowa City also has an intriguing history, and visitors are welcome to learn about this at the Old Capitol Building. Meghan and Chris were amazing! We chose the delivery and set up option as first time campers not knowing what we are doing and just wanting to show up and relax. They very quickly had the RV set up and were incredibly friendly, explaining how things within the RV worked. RV was very well stocked with lots of extras to make camping comfortable and fun. Beds were super comfortable and the RV itself was very nicely renovated. Daughter loved this experience! The outdoor amenities provided by Meghan and Chris made for a great trip. When a question arose, Meghan was very quick to respond. We would definitely rent from them again! Highly recommend especially for 1st time campers
