RV rental Lake Ahquabi State Park, IA: Motorhome rentals, camper van rentals and more

Lake Ahquabi State Park is a great place to go hiking or even mountain biking. Bring your rental motorhome so you can wake up to a spectacular view of nature and hit the trails early. The Lake Trail winds along the shoreline of Lake Ahquabi for four miles and then two and a half miles through the woods for a total of six and a half miles of scenic trail. Most of this trail is gravel surfaced. The Lake Ahquabi State Park Loop Trail is a four-mile trail that's perfect for all skill levels and accessible year-round. Another great activity when camping at Lake Ahquabi is fishing. Pack your rod and reel in your rental RV and plan to spend some relaxing time casting your line in the lake in hopes of catching your next dinner. There are several fishing jetties along the lake and a fishing pier for great fishing from the shore. The lake is stocked with largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish. Make sure your Iowa fishing license is current before fishing at Lake Ahquabi State Park. The 115-acre lake is man-made and has a large sandy beach great for guests to sunbathe, build sandcastles, or enjoy a game of sand volleyball. There's a boat launch ramp at the northern end of the park and another ramp in the campgrounds. Swimming is allowed; however, there's no lifeguard on duty at the park. You can bring your own watercraft or rent a boat from the park's concessionaire.
