With plentiful populations of bass, crappie, hybrid stripers, catfish, and white bass, fishing in Clinton Lake is excellent. Anglers have access to the lake via several public-access areas for bank fishing, or you can take your watercraft out into the lake to fish. Fishing supplies are available in the marina on the lake, in case you fall short.

Camping at Clinton Lake

Clinton Lake camping areas come equipped with several facilities that make for a comfortable camping trip. Clinton State Park has over 200 campsites with amenities like pull-thru sites, big rig access, tent camping, 30 and 50 amp electric, water, cell phone coverage, restrooms, showers, marina, boat ramps, and direct access to the lake. Pets are welcome at the campground but must be kept on a leash.

Douglas County campers will have a great time exploring the areas around Clinton Lake. Just 10 miles from the lake, Lawrence is home to the famed University of Kansas, along with a bevy of other exciting attractions. From art galleries to avenues lined with cafes and breweries and wineries, music venues, museums, nature centers, and more, there is something for everyone in Lawrence.

This is a great camper, and the host was excellent to work with. The trailer was stocked with paper plates, utensils, lawn chairs, pillows, blankets, and nearly everything else but food. The camper was easy to set up with electric jacks and all of the stabilizer blocks needed. Would definitely rent from this person again!

The van was well equipped with essentials; bedding, towels, utensils, etc. Even provided us with coffee! The owners had great tutorials on all the features of the van and were very responsive. It was a fantastic trip that was made easy with this van. We will definitely be renting from them again, unless we get one of our own 😄
