Discover Troy RV rentals for memorable road trips

Previously known as Bridge’s Plantation, Town of Kingsville, and Joy, the town of Troy finally settled on its latest name back in 1826. This vibrant community between Bangor and Augusta is one of Maine’s best-kept secrets. Only about a thousand people call this idyllic New England town home, so larger cities and resort towns in the area are chosen more often as vacation destinations.

The Great Outdoors

It is quite easy to find a quiet slice of nature where you can park your Troy camper rental and indulge in the tranquil vibes of Maine’s wilderness. Over half the state is covered in forested land, so camping and hiking are two of the most popular activities in the state. Mount Blue State Park is a good place to start, containing the eponymous Mount Blue and the lovely Webb Lake. There are swimming and fishing areas on the shores of the lake, boating areas, hunting grounds, a nature center where you can learn about the local environment, and a campground.

RV Parks

In a place like Maine, campgrounds are quite easy to come by. Pumpkin Patch RV Resort has a homey feel to it and could be a good place to park the Troy camper rental. There are rental cabins, spacious campsites, a large event pavilion, an activity center, and a pet walking park for those traveling with their dogs.

City Attractions

The town of Troy is beautiful in its own right, with old Puritan churches and iconic New England style architecture showcased by its brilliant old homes and shops, but aside from this pleasant imagery, there is hardly anything to do in town. Luckily, you’ll have a Troy campervan rental, and the nearby city of Bangor is full of stuff to keep the adventure going. The Maine Discovery Museum features lots of exhibits pertaining to all things Maine. The museum is aimed towards children, but an equally nice experience for people of all ages. There are three floors with lots of topics covered, so don’t miss out on this amazing institution.

We had a great experience! The van is equipped with everything you need, and very easy to drive. Abbie was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

We have the best time visiting New Hampshire, Vermont and Acadia. It took us day to get the hang of how everything worked, but the owners were very informative and helpful. The van itself was easy to handle and had all the conveniences that we wanted and needed for our camping adventure. So much fun. Our dog also loved his home on wheels and all the fun places it took him.
