The fishery is managed for both warm-water and cold-water fish. Fishing here is a lot of fun since there are no noisy gasoline motorboats to distract the fish! Fishing from the bank is possible at several access points around the lake.
Camping at Liberty Reservoir
While no camping is permitted right at Liberty Reservoir, there are quite a few campgrounds not too far from the reservoir. The Rambling Pines Campground in Clarksburg is about 13 miles away, and a good option to consider if you want to camp in an RV near Liberty Reservoir. It has more than 200 campsites and offers a range of amenities like pull-thru sites, big rig access, full hookups, 30 and 50 amp electric service, water, sewer, dump station, and cell phone coverage. Also available are restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, firewood, and a camp store. Bring your four-legged friends along to this pet-friendly campground.
