There are many things to do at Ashland State Park to enjoy the great outdoors. While here, visitors can fish. One of the top spots to go fishing in the park is in the Ashland Reservoir. This body of water contains numerous species, like chain pickerel, bass, bullhead, shiner, and pumpkinseed. There is a boat ramp available. If you do take a boat out on the water, keep in mind that there are a few sand bars you’ll need to watch out for.

Boston Common also offers views of Beacon Hill and contains a few unique historical areas, like a plaque that commemorates where the Great Elm once stood before it was destroyed by a storm.
