Big Stone Lake is located in central-western Minnesota along the state border with South Dakota, only a few miles from the towns of Graceville, MN, Appleton, MN, and Big Stone City, SD. This natural freshwater lake is the source of the Minnesota River and was formed by glacial movements thousands of years ago. During modern times the depth of the lake was increased by the building of a dam in 1937. This, combined with its excellent recreational opportunities, including two state parks on its shores, makes the perfect place to take an RV rental. Access to the lake with a rental RV is made even easier with Highway 109 and Highway 7 running parallel to the lake.
