Are you looking for something which is both fun and educational to do during your stay in Lakeville? If so, head down to Fur-Ever Wild Wolves-Woods & Wildlife. It is a working agricultural farm and sanctuary for North American fur-bearing animals. You will learn about the connection we have with Mother Nature., and will find out what the importance is of habitat quality and preservation. Children will love it here. They - and you as well - can feed the farm animals, pet the mini horses, and even play with the baby wolves. There are also many other animals here which you can learn about, such as cougars and racoons. The staff all love animals and are keen to tell you more about them. There are often live animal demonstrations, which will help you to understand the world we share with the animals. This is a great place to go for a family day out.
A park with many hidden gems, perhaps the most popular being the waterfall of 53-feet, it?s no wonder why this park was named the number one urban park system in the U.S. by the Trust for Public Land. Take a run, hike or walk the Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway, a 50-mile outdoor recreation loop in the Minneapolis area. Take your four legged friend on the Minnehaha Falls Off-leash Dog Park, or enjoy a picnic.
World class performances, educational opportunities, professional training, in a beautiful unique setting. You can catch performances of Christmas Carol, Shakespeare?s work such as Midsummer Night?s Dream, or take a backstage tour, which are done every Friday morning.
Look and marvel at the paintings of Cezanne and Van Gogh, international and American modernism, Japanese and Korean art, and sit down and relax in reading rooms with themes such as the ?Jane Austen?. There are several youth and family oriented activities, and best of all it?s free everyday!
A convenient park located close to downtown Minneapolis, shopping malls, parks, bike trails, golf and more. You can take a break from driving and take the bus into the city, which picks you up at the entrance of the park. All hooks ups have water, electrical and sewer, which is included in the price. Catering to long term guests the real advantage here is location for your RV rental trip.
Just west of Minneapolis and St. Paul, you can find Baker Campground, and some of the best of the northern boreal wilderness, including deep cool lakes, thick forests, and steep granite cliffs. Starting in Minnetonka, follow Interstate 494 north for 15 minutes, then turn west for six minutes to find Morris T. Baker County Park and Baker Campground. This venue emphasizes getting back to nature, so even though you can fit even a big rig on one of their 200 sites, you won?t have a full utility hookup. Electric is available, but not water or sewage. Guests can also rent cabins that include light, heat, fans, and a screened-in porch. If friends stop by, they can easily fit their tent on your spacious campsite, which is also equipped with a picnic table and fire pit. On-site amenities include a modern bathroom and shower facility that is fully wheelchair accessible. Lake Independence is nearby for swimming and boating activities, and the location is also connected to several bike paths.
Only ten minutes west of Burnsville, within convenient distance of several green spaces and cool northern lakes, is the Town & Country RV Park and Campground. This quaint, friendly park combines the best of modern amenities with a peaceful, forested setting. As the evening winds down, relax with a soak in the hot tub and a movie streamed over the free WiFi service. Within only minutes of this verdant oasis is the bustling metropolis of Minneapolis, and notable attractions such as the Mall of America, Valley Fair, and the Minnesota Zoo. On-site services include a store, game room, playground, a laundry facility, and a pool. The park includes 50 full service hookups for RVs, and 30 with water and electrical only.
