The Great Outdoors

When visiting north-central Ohio with a camper rental from Clyde, Lake Erie is the obvious choice for outdoor recreation. While the Great Lakes are known for their big waves and high winds, the protected coves around nearby Sandusky Bay are perfect for swimming or paddling a kayak. Pickerel Creek and Willow Point Wildlife Areas are both great places to experience the unique wetland ecology on the shores of Lake Erie.

RV Parks

In the rural landscapes around Clyde, there are tons of places to camp, from amenity-filled RV resorts to quiet campgrounds on Lake Erie. Gotta Getaway RV Park in Bellevue is one of the closest parks when you choose a camper rental in Clyde and is just a short drive down Route 20. Sites have water and electrical hookups along with fire rings to enjoy in the evening. There are a couple of good museums in the Bellevue area that are worth visiting, making this a good place to stay if you’re any kind of a history buff.

Exploring the City

Something you probably wouldn’t expect in this corner of rural Ohio is a Presidential Library. However, Rutherford B. Hayes (U.S. President from 1877-1881) died in Fremont, which isn’t too far from Clyde. A tour of the library includes the President’s 31-room Victorian mansion, his tomb, a museum dedicated to his life, and the library itself. You can even see a replica of the Resolute Desk, where the president would sit during his days in the Oval Office.

Our family had a great time on our trip to Texas using Joel's RV. It was clean, safe, and affordable. Joel answered all our questions and was available, and even reached out to us to see how we were doing. It was a pleasurable experience and I highly recommend renting from Joel and will certainly rent from him when traveling in the future.

The rental lady Kim is amazing and the cleaning girl does an amazing job. Our unit looked and smelled brand new as if it was never used. Will be a repeat customer due to the high level of service and communication from the rental staff.

Rick and Jill were very attentive to any questions we had whether prior to departure or along the way to Texas. There were 5 of us for this adventure. The listing is accurate with the amenities provided: Keurig, crockpots, warming tray, utensils, bedding, pillows, grill, outdoor chairs, silverware, paper plates, cups, serving trays...all we needed to do was stock the refrigerator which we did! The RV was comfortable for my 83 year-old aunt who traveled with oxygen along with my parents who are also in their 80s.
