Originally settled in the early 19th century, the town that would one day become known as Massillon was called Kendal. The name was changed in 1826 when the city’s founder, James Duncan, named it after a French Catholic bishop (at the request of his wife). It became a major port town along the canal route, originally known as the Port of Massillon. When you enjoy RV rentals in Stark County, you’ll be close to some amazing rich history as well as the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Massillon Museum offers a great deal of information. You can see art exhibits, history, and even information about football right here in this one special exhibit. Great communication throughout process. The Villa was perfect for our group with enough room for us to hang out together as well as give us all our own space. Would not hesitate to rent again!
