Experience the Sites and Scenery

Clackamas is a wonderful place to begin your explorational trek of the “Beaver State” when you rent an RV. Its astoundingly good positioning just outside the metro area leaves you in prime position to slip out and visit the countryside and all of the sublime sights that accompany it. Mount Talbert Nature Park is a glorious wooded area north of Clackamas, with geocaching and lots of fun trails for hiking. This forest oasis in the metro area is perfect for people who don’t feel like venturing out too far with a Clackamas rental motorhome.

City Attractions

It might sound disappointing at first, but Clackamas has no true attractions to speak of. The town itself is wonderful and charming, with lots of amazing eateries and boutiques lining the streets of the downtown section, but visitors are more likely to see attractions in the surrounding towns and cities when exploring the area with a Clackamas rental RV. Clackamas Town Center is a retail shopping complex in the middle of everything, with everything you could possibly think of wanting. The North Clackamas Aquatic Park is great for children; twirling water slides and splash pools highlight this indoor facility’s fun activities.

Where to Park It

Oregon is so outdoors oriented that it is nearly impossible to go anywhere without seeing a handful of RV parks and campgrounds. Pheasant Ridge RV Resort has a heated indoor pool and hot tub for year-round use, as well as internet and cable TV. This centrally located park is not far from local golf courses, ski slopes, shopping centers, and restaurants. Riverside RV Park is another spot to consider, with its big rig-friendly camping spaces and a pond for fishing.

It was a no contact pickup and drop off, but there was an informative video tutorial sent out beforehand. We felt prepared for our journey but as it happens, there was a mishap with a latch on the outside of the van. We were able to repair the best we could so that we could empty our cassette and bought supplemental parts since it happened at the beginning of our trip. The host was very gracious during all of this and made everything as easy for us as possible. The trip was saved and we miss the van life already!

The camper van was an absolute joy, and Floyd was helpful whenever I had a question.
