Getting Outdoors
Even though Haystack Hill State Park lies just a couple of miles away from Cannon Beach, it is not a well-known location among tourists. This state park offers incredible hiking opportunities, with scenic trails overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Three different trails lead to the summit, and the north one is the easiest. Novice hikers are advised to take this route. On the other hand, hikers who are looking for a challenge could go up to the summit either from the east or west. East route has the best views of Haystack Rock, but it is often crowded. If you prefer a peaceful atmosphere while hiking, try the west route.
Camping at Haystack Hill State Park
Haystack Hill State Park doesn’t have a campground, but there are several options for visitors camping with an RV. The Sea Ranch RV Park is minutes away from the state park and has basic amenities that could make your stay here enjoyable. This rustic campground has hot showers, bathhouses, picnic areas, and free Wi-Fi. The RV sites may accommodate vehicles that are not longer than 40 feet. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire ring.
