Frequently asked questions
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I may be able to deliver the the trailer to a campsite or home within ~50 miles, depending on the day and time. The more advance notice the better. If you're picking it up, there's typically more flexibility to schedule around work.
Q.
How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
I have a pamphlet in the RV that details how all of the systems work, step-by-step. The best thing to do is research and watch videos online in advance. Two key things to remember: 1) Don't level and uncouple until after you have checked that your hookup lines will reach the sewer, water and electrical connectors at the campsite. 2) Never open the valves for the grey and black tanks at the same time. Always drain the black water tanks first, close the valve, then open and drain the grey.
Q.
Do you provide a hitch receiver?
A.
Outdoorsy only allows a yes/no to this. The answer is maybe. The Airstream requires a 2 5/16" hitch ball. I have a few hitches that will work on any vehicle with a standard 2" Class IV hitch, including a weight distribution system that we have used on our 2016 Volvo XC90. However, I can't promise that these will meet the correct level of your vehicle relative to the trailer. Lifted or lowered vehicles will likely pose an issue and in these cases you should have your own system.
