Recommendations

Park next to your restaurant of choice, set the tables and order for take-out.
Take it on a surfing trip (surfboards have to go inside)
Visit some wineries
See some giant redwoods
Park next to some rad mountain biking trails e.g. Flume Trail / Mt Hough
Drive Highway 1

Other things to note

The propane tank hangs low on the underside of the vehicle and will hit the ground. Therefore:
No Off-roading
No fire-track roads.
No climbing on the roof - it's fragile and most crack with too much weight and are very expensive to replace.

It's regularly serviced and maintained, but it’s not new, and has had a few owners and a few modifications during its lifetime. I've chosen the best mechanic in San Francisco to do repairs and my philosophy is I'd rather pay the premium now than be stranded later. BUT it's over 20 years old, so please understand that hiccups may and do happen. Please be prepared to regularly check the coolant and oil - I'll walk you through that. It's great if you are somewhat mechanically inclined and willing to figure out problems if and when they arise.

Cruise control does not work.

8ft foam surfboard + leash
Great for beginners or those just wanting to play around and have fun!
$25.00
/each
8ft Nano Ten-toes Inflatable Stand-Up Paddle Board
This is pretty thin and agile as SUPs go, not too great for long distances but fun in the surf or playing by the beach. The Nano is for smaller adventurers starting out. Its eight-foot length and rounded hull make it easier to control and require less exertion to paddle. the Nano was designed with smaller adults in mind and is generally more simple to maneuver than longer boards.
$75.00
/each
Acoustic Guitar
For sing-alongs around the campfire. Don't worry it's not precious.
$10.00
/each

We had a great trip along the California coast in Nick's van. The van was well equipped. We were 4 adults. Two of us slept in the van and two in the tent we had brought. While 4 adults can sleep in the van, we were glad we brought the tent as it is otherwise rather tight (one night we all slept in the van when we were in a location where no tents we allowed, allegedly due to mountain lions). Drop off at the airport made the end of our trip convenient.

We just returned home from a fabulous 16 day trip exploring Yosemite, Sequoia and King’s Canyon, the coastal highway (HWY 1) up to Humbolt Redwoods state park and back to San Fransisco. Nick’s van and his ease of the entire Outdoorsy process made our trip perfect! We are a family of 4 and the kids (age 5 and 7) loved their ‘home on wheels’. The van ran very well and we had no concerns. My husband had experience driving a van before which was helpful for all of the windy, up and down roads. This trip left us wanting to buy our own VW Eurobus! Thanks Nick for your support prior to the trip and communication along the way. It was a trip if a lifetime.

The eurovan was awesome, we took it up to the Anderson Valley to see the redwoods and the whole trip was incredible! Nick was great and even delivered the van to us as we were staying nearby. It was chilly for April and the heat in the van was so appreciated! Also the solar powered cooler was amazing and quite roomy. Would definitely rent again!
