A Country Breeze RV Park

This is an area of flat farmland and prairie, with miles of straight road, that makes getting around in your rental RV very easy. To the northwest of San Antonio is Government Canyon State Natural Area, a 12,000-acre protected wilderness. You’ll find over 40 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails here, plus there are guided hiking tours if you want to learn a bit more about the local ecosystem. A number of endangered species are present in the area, such as the golden-cheeked warblers, making it popular with bird spotters, but there is plenty of other protected wildlife to try and spot. If geocaching is your thing, there are plenty hidden away around the area to find! Close by is Medina Lake, an 18-mile man-made reservoir on the Medina River. Fishing is popular here, and the reservoir is regularly stocked with various species of bass, catfish, and carp. There are two marinas on the lake and a number of boat ramps, so getting out on the water is easy. Boat rentals are available from the marinas, with plenty of parking for your rental RV. The long and jagged shoreline offers plenty of places to explore by boat, plus some great spots for angling away from the crowds. San Antonio has several large parks to enjoy the warm summer days here. Pearsall covers over 500 acres and offers a range of outdoor activities, including the largest children’s playground in the city. There is a fitness zone, with zip wires, traveling rings, and hiking routes, plus numerous sports courts. The cool kids will hang out at the large skate park, while the 1.5-acre dog park means your four-legged friend can come along as well. Add in a disc golf course, and various other sports facilities, and you can spend a whole day at the park enjoying the fresh air.
