Lake Nacogdoches is a large reservoir located a few miles west of the small city of Nacogdoches in eastern Texas, midway between Dallas and Houston. The lake was created in 1976 by damming the Loco and the Little Bayou Loco to form the 2200-acre reservoir.

Getting Outdoors
Fishing is very popular on Lake Nacogdoches, and it is well-known as a great place to catch record size bass. The largemouth bass is the most common fish here, and there’s a fishery to keep the numbers high. Other species to be found include crappie, bluegill, catfish, and sunfish, but the bass is the main draw.
Camping at Lake Nacogdoches
While there may not be camping available at Lake Nacogdoches, there are plenty of campgrounds in the area to take your rental RV.
Exploring the Area
Very few facilities are available at the lake, but around three miles west is the small community of Douglass that has a gas station, some small grocery stores and a couple of cafes. Further to the east is the city of Nacogdoches where you can find all the amenities you need when camping with an RV.
