Getting Outdoors

Renting an RV near here will make it easy to enjoy all the incredible sights found locally. Two unique things that can be viewed at this park are fossils, petroglyphs, and pictographs along some of the trails. The fossils are from the large lizards who used to roam these lands as well as from the creatures who made their homes in the shallow seas that once covered the region. The ancient people who originally lived in this area also left their marks. In some places, you can see the pictures and designs they drew on the rocks. Informational maps are offered at the Visitor Center to help you find these unique sights.

Camping at Dinosaur National Monument

Dinosaur National Monument makes camping with an RV a breeze. There are several campgrounds available at the monument; a few dot the local area that surrounds the park, as well.

Exploring the Area

When you book an RV in Uintah County, you will find many amazing places to visit located nearby. Check out the Utah Visitor's Center, located near the main entrance to the park, just north of Jensen. It offers exhibits and educational programs, some lead by rangers, on the flora and fauna who currently reside in the park, as well as those that are now extinct. Some exhibits highlight how weather and other natural forces, such as floods and volcanoes, helped make the park what it is today. National Monument RV camping makes it easy to participate in all the attractions these parks make available.

Mitch and Ivie were the perfect hosts! They were easy to work with and wanted to be sure my family had a great experience. The RV was clean and everything worked well.
I would definitely reach out to them again. Thanks!

Great weekend at Fred Hayes/Starvation Reservoir. Beautiful trailer! Not familiar with different brands but it was beautiful inside. Very sophisticated operation, easy to put the extra beds together and included everything we needed PLUS. This was our second time renting with Outdoorsy and this was the BEST! Joe was great to work with, unbelievably accommodating And the welcome basket was super thoughtful.
We hope to rent again next summer.
