Discover Red Fleet State Park RV rentals for memorable road trips

Red Fleet State Park is on the eastern side of Utah, far from Salt Lake City. This state park, which covers more than 750 acres, is known for its fossil trackway of dinosaur footprints. When you book an RV in Uintah County, it should be relatively easy to camp with an RV at Red Fleet State Park. Although the park is a bit secluded, nearby towns like Vernal offer modern amenities, while huge natural features like Ashley National Forest offer an escape into nature.

Getting Outdoors

Red Fleet State Park camping will provide you with unbridled access to all the park has to offer, ranging from the Red Fleet Reservoir to the dinosaur tracks. There are a lot of unique hiking trails to explore at the park, and many of them can be accessed from the onsite campground. Depending on your hiking skill level and challenge preference, there are some hikes that offer panoramic views of the reservoir, but they pose a bit of a challenge for inexperienced hikers.

Camping at Red Fleet State Park

Red Fleet State Park is home to nearly 30 RV compatible campsites at its state park RV campgrounds. Although only three of the campsites have modern amenities like water and electricity, the other 26 campsites can still accommodate RVs of all sizes. Each campsite has its own picnic table, fire ring, and grill to help make your stay more enjoyable. When you want to ensure you receive a campsite with hookups, be sure to reserve your site ahead of time online or by telephone.

Exploring the Area

Although Red Fleet State Park is a bit isolated in the eastern reaches of Utah, a short drive will take you to Vernal, which has a decent selection of modern attractions. Vernal is home to a handful of locally-owned restaurants, the standard array of fast-food chains, and a few museums that focus on local history and events. Heading north of the park will take you to Red Canyon, which has even less to offer, but the drive is worth it just for the scenery.

Mitch and Ivie were the perfect hosts! They were easy to work with and wanted to be sure my family had a great experience. The RV was clean and everything worked well.
I would definitely reach out to them again. Thanks!

Great weekend at Fred Hayes/Starvation Reservoir. Beautiful trailer! Not familiar with different brands but it was beautiful inside. Very sophisticated operation, easy to put the extra beds together and included everything we needed PLUS. This was our second time renting with Outdoorsy and this was the BEST! Joe was great to work with, unbelievably accommodating And the welcome basket was super thoughtful.
We hope to rent again next summer.
