We had hoped to have a fantastic experience renting the trailer but encountered several issues that tainted our experience. The generator did not start when we arrived at our destination. It had an electric start with a key fob. However the battery was dead and it would not start. The manual pull on the generator didn’t work either. I spent almost the whole second day going to 10 different places in town trying to get a new battery to make it work but nobody had it. Luckily Hector’s aunt and uncle lived nearby so he coordinated with them so we could use their generator for the last 1.5 days of our trip.

I have nothing but good things to say about Hector, the trailer, and the experience. I rented this trailer for 14 days and it was perfect for what I needed it for. Hector delivered the trailer for me, as my truck wasn't big enough to pull it. Hector made delivery and pickup super easy and was very flexible in the when, where, etc. When he delivered, Hector took the time to got over everything about the trailer with me, showing me how to operate the generator, lights, heater, etc. While I didn't pull the trailer, Hector showed me all the tools he kept in the trailer in case it got a flat, someone could easily change a tire with all the tools he kept on the trailer. I had one minor issue during the trip (carbon monoxide alarm wouldn't stop beeping) and Hector was available by phone to walk me through a solution. Overall my experience with Hector was 5 stars all around. As far as the trailer, it was everything I needed and also 5 stars all around. It was cold where I was and the heater worked perfect to warm the trailer up. The generator has a fob key to start it remotely which was very convenient. The water heater in this trailer gets the water so hot you have to be careful when turning it on, which was a good thing. Two small things I offer advice on for people who are renting this trailer. #1 bring your own bedding in these days of COVID. I forgot and had to run to a Dollar General store to buy some sheets and comforter. #2 bring a 5 gallon gas can filled with gas if you have one. Hector provides a 5 gallon gas can with gas but for the amount of time I had the trailer, that only lasted 2-3 days depending on how much the generator is used. I had to run into town 3 times to fill up the can, had I brought my own I would have probably only had to go fill up once. The trailer has tv, radio, plugs to play your iPhone music, etc. It has built in USB chargers that charge your phone, etc. well. I have a bad back but the queen bed was comfortable and I slept well in it. I didn't use the bunk beds but they both are almost as big as a queen and also very comfortable. The microwave was key for me in re-heating all my Xmas leftovers and breakfast. Never did use the stove top or oven but the trailer had them. The fridge and freezer worked great, almost too good as the fridge got so cold I had to turn up the temp because some of my food froze (it was in the 20's - 40's where I was so I think that had something to do with it as well). Few things Hector has stored in the trailer: Big flashlight, small propane grill, small little broom/scoop to sweep up grass etc. that gets tracked into the trailer and also a small little vacuum. As far as room, IMO the trailer is perfect for a couple. This was a hunting trip for me and I was supposed to have a buddy with me but he couldn't make it. It would have been tight for two grown men but totally doable. I like to spread out with my gear and stuff so 3 grown men might be a little much but it could be done if you don't mind close quarters. Family with couple kids, same thing, doable but cozy, which is much easier if you are family IMO. Plenty of storage for food, etc. The trailer has some kitchen utensils but I would suggest bringing paper plates and plastic utensils to save water. There were some some sandwich bags, foil, etc. that past renters had left, again I suggest bringing what you might need in that regard. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience with the owner or a better trailer. I had an great trip and a lot of that had to do with Hector being so easy to work with and having a nice warm bed, shower, and microwave. Thanks Hector, I will definitely be renting from you again in the future. Picture I included is trailer at sunset. The desert southwest has the best sunsets in the winter time and every evening I was in blessed with a different beautiful version.
