The Great Outdoors
One of the most visited outdoor areas worth checking out is Westmoreland State Park, located on the Potomac River's Northern Neck. It is on the National Register of Historic Places, and this alone is a reason it should be on your Virginia bucket list. Fossil hunters enjoy spending time looking for shark teeth along the banks of the river, while nature lovers will enjoy the many birds that call the park their home, including American bald eagles, kingfishers, great blue herons, and many others. If it is views you are looking for, take the trails up to the top of the Horse Head cliffs, where views out over the Potomac River are spectacular.
RV Parks
One of the closest RV parks to town is Monroe Bay Marina and Campground, located in a sheltered bay on the banks of the Potomac River. Its location on the banks mean that you'll have picturesque views when sitting outside your luxury motorhome rental from Colonial Beach, and the range of facilities will ensure you a comfortable stay. There is a camp store, a playground, and game rooms to help keep the kids entertained. The highlight however, is the white sloping beach and boat ramp, which can provide hours of fun.
Exploring the City
Colonial Beach has a fascinating history, and one of the best ways to learn more about the area is paying a visit to the Colonial Beach Museum. The museum opened in 1999 in an 1890s Victorian Cottage and traces the history of the town and Potomac River from Captain John Smith's tour in 1607 to present day through the use of a range of photography and artifacts. In addition to running the museum, the Historical Society run a range of events throughout the year such as the Antique Car Show and Big Band Dance.

We had an amazing long weekend with Minty Fresh and highly recommend it! The van is so well designed with great features in every corner, it's easy to drive, and easy to learn how to use. This was our first RV trip and Kellsey was so helpful in answering our questions pre-trip and explaining everything when we picked up. We traveled to WV to a campsite with hookups, were able to cook dinner easily, and so enjoyed having the kitchen with us during the day when we went out hiking for making lunches, washing up, etc. The bed was super comfortable, the a/c worked great the 1 night we needed it, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. I would give ten stars if I could! We are already planning a longer trip in the future. Thanks Kellsey for a fantastic experience.

Communication was very good.
We had a problem with the water filter the first night of our week. I talked to Phillip at about 6pm that night. He said he will drop one off in the am which worked for us. And at 6:30am the next morning he installed the new one after a 45 min trip to us! Problem solved!Then he went to work.
Great renter and nice camper.

Butch was a wonderful host. He provided delivery, set up and pick up. He was very communicative prior to the trip - always responded back almost immediately. Did a great job explaining how everything worked with the RV. Would absolutely rent from Butch again!
