There are no campgrounds at Shavers Lake, but just a few miles southeast near Dunmore is EJ’s Camping and Stables that offers full hook-up campsites. You’ll also find a bathhouse with showers and toilets and a laundry room. From the campground, it’s easy to explore the local area on foot, mountain bike, or by horse. RV camping near Shavers Lake is a real getaway from the hustle and bustle when you vacation in the peace and quiet of the mountains.
Exploring the Area
The town of Snowshoe is a ski resort, but it is open throughout the year and can provide most of your daily essentials. There is a grocery store, plenty of places to eat, and two Tesla electric vehicle charging points, but no gas station. A gas station is available at the bottom of the mountain road leading to the Snowshoe ski resort, just a few miles away.
