Planning to steal away to Rocky Point for a night or two? More than 60 electrical sites at Rocky Point Recreation Area provide an ideal atmosphere for motorhome camping. Water and sewer hookups aren't available. Each campsite can accommodate vehicles up to 65 feet in length, which should cover most RV rentals. As far as amenities go, you can expect dump stations, flush and vault toilets, and showers. Note that the campground is open year-round, but most facilities are closed between November and March. Also located in the city of Belle Fourche, this natural history museum displays an abundance of fossils found in the American Midwest. You can even try your hand at unearthing some dinosaur fossils of your own on a dinosaur dig site tour. Prefer to see living animals rather than fossils? If you're willing to make the drive to Rapid City, you'll find that Reptile Gardens is a wonderful sanctuary for slithery and scaly creatures of all kinds. You'll also get to see a colorful array of flora as well as other animals, so keep your camera handy. As for any food and supply needs you might have while at the park, you can rest assured knowing that there won’t be too much trouble finding provisions. The city of Belle Fourche is only about ten miles away from the park. You'll find a plethora of American cuisine and fast food options here if you're getting a little tired of camp food, as well as gas stations and shops.
