The Hassayampa River Preserve is located nearby in Wickenburg and offers many easy trails to navigate. Also in Wickenburg is Vulture Peak Trail. You can enjoy a peaceful drive and rustic hiking trails here. The first mile-and-a-half is flat and easy to navigate. You can check out a wide range of flowering cacti, including the towering saguaros. Spending at least a few days or even a week or more in this part of the country won’t be enough, and when you want to find a decent place to park the wheels of that Morristown RV rental, you can do that at numerous places.
One of those is Liberty Haven Ranch. This is located in Wickenburg and is a small RV park that offers 30 amp electric and water for hookups. They have pull-through sites and pets are allowed. It is a 175-acre ranch and they do have a gray water dump station on site.
Constellation Park is also located in Wickenburg but doesn’t have any hookups. They do allow pets and big rigs can access it, and if hiking is important to you, they do have recreational trails. It is optimal for an overnight stay, if not for a few extra nights, and tends to be clean and quiet. The views are exceptional and the sites are large.
Hidden Hacienda is another RV park in the area, and they have full hookup service, including 30 and 50 amp electric. They have amenities including restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. There is a rec room and there are also recreational trails to enjoy. They have pull-through sites and big rigs can access here. It is considered a peaceful campground and they offer horse boarding.
Because Morristown is small, you may only find some of the most basic attractions like decent dining facilities and a few shops. Over in Wickenburg, though, you can check out the Desert Caballeros Western Museum that offers a world-renowned collection of Western art and historic exhibits. Head here with the Morristown motorhome rental and you can enjoy a collection of contemporary art and classic creations. They even have life-size re-creations of the town in 1905.
Another popular activity in the area is horseback riding. You can enjoy cruising through an Old West town, riding along creeks and riverbanks, and even climbing some challenging terrain to see gorgeous views and picturesque scenery you won’t find anywhere else in the country.
The Jail Tree is located in Wickenburg and also offers a fair bit of Western history. If you visit while exploring the town with a Morrison camper rental, be sure to play the recording that gives you information and insight behind the tree itself. The statue is simple enough -a man chained to a tree- but it’s a testament to the past. The town couldn’t afford a jail so they basically chained people to the tree to serve their time.
