Auburn Gold Country RV Park near Rocklin, California is in the heart of historic country. People from around the world descended on this part of the country searching for gold during the rush. The weather in this campground is almost always ideal, so campers will be able to enjoy the great outdoors. This area has a rich history that campers will find fascinating. The park is close to Highways 49 and 89, so it is easy to get to interesting attractions. The park itself has many amenities and attractions. Most of the sites have 50 amp electrical service and free WiFi service. The park has large RVsites and resort style amenities. The pool and spa are heated to the perfect temperature. In addition, there is a playground, basketball court, and onsite fishing pond. The clubhouse has recently been remodeled making it a comfortable retreat for people camping in the park. Old Sacramento?s fame lies in it being the last station of the Pony Express postal system in the west, which was the first transcontinental railroad. The Yuba City Astronomical Observatory is a wonderful place for visitors of all ages. The observatory is owned and operated by a family trust and located south of the city near the Sutter Buttes Mountain Range. Visitors will be impressed with the entire facility. There is one nine foot dome for the brilliant scientists who study astronomy. There is also an 11 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. The focused study using the observatory includes planetary, deep sky, NEO studies, photometry, and astrophotography. The observatory is operated by a trustee appointed by the family. The facilities were established in September of 2010. The staff at the observatory hosts star parties in order to get the people in the community to be excited about the sky above them at night. They focus is on providing educational programs for members of the community. All the members of the community and visitors are welcome to these special events.
Hannah Nicole Vineyards and Winery is a fun outing in Brentwood, California. The staff at the facilities are experts in growing grapes and producing fine wines. They are ready to take guests on a great tour of all of their facilities. In the wine tasting rooms, guests will have the chance to sample five wines from their menu. Individuals and groups of two to seven people do not need an appointment. Groups of eight or more should call or email to make a reservation. Guests on one of the tours often receive special prices on the wine. This location is also a great place for a picnic in a peaceful setting. Guests can bring a group to the Diablo Gazebo with a bottle of Hannah Nicole Wine and their picnic foods. The Orwood Resort in Brentwood, California is an outstanding spot for some time away from the noise and activity of ordinary life. This is the only RV park in Sacramento that is right on the river. You'll have a great view of the river, old growth trees that provide shade and the marina offers a place to take a dip and park your boat. There is an onsite convenience store and free wireless, but if you want a taste of town, Old Sacramento is just 10 minutes away. A nice destination in your RV rental.
