Warner Springs is an unincorporated town in San Diego County, California. It was established in 1844 when Juan Jose Warner received a land grant (Rancho San Jose del Valle) from Mexico and promptly renamed it Warner Springs. It has an association with the Oak Grove Butterfield Stage Station and Warner’s Ranch, two National Historic Landmarks, and is not far from the Palomar Observatory. It is most well-known for its hot springs, which have attracted people from the very beginning and became a favorite Hollywood hangout during Hollywood's golden era. At first approach, Warner Springs doesn't appear to be anything more than just another small desert town but once inside, its appeal is instantly recognizable.
