It was originally built as a stop on the Rock Island Railway, which ran from Kansas to Denver. For most of its early history it was known for its agricultural products, however, it transitioned over to a manufacturing and service economy in the middle of the 20th century. Today it stands as a perfect example of quiet, small town living, even though it’s within commuting distance of the Denver metropolis.

While much of the area to the east of town is farmland, you can still find a few great examples of prairie wilderness if you get off the beaten path. First of all our host, Robert , was amazing . He was pleasant and very informative about the RV operation. The test drive through Palmer Park was both helpful and made me feel comfortable about driving the RV. The RV was very clean - spotless.
