Amenities include a dumping station, boat ramp, concessions, drinking water, and showers. This state park RV campground covers 544 acres and is within easy reaching distance to both Hopeville and Pauhaug Pond.

The nearest town to Pachaug Pond would be Griswold, located to the north. There are a few places of note to visit when you are in town, such as the Griswold Historical Society Museum, where you can learn all about the history of the town and surrounding area. Buttonwood Farm is also a gem of an attraction, famous for ice cream and growing sunflowers.

The Minnie Winnie delivered big! The sleeping area had a comfortable mattress and plenty of room (queen) for the two of us and a variable number of our shelties. The bathroom/closet was perfect, with a shower roomy enough for 6'3"me and plenty of storage for our towels and clothes. The slide-out is HUGE and the kitchen/dining area was more than ample. Gerry took care of all the set-up and take-down, explained everything we needed to know, and in general was a downright friendly bloke to deal with before, during, and after our vacation. This is a nearly annual trip for us, so we are looking forward to a repeat of our experience next year!
