The most northern sections of Indiana border Lake Michigan, one of the great lakes, and those wishing to visit the great lake can easily do so through one of the famous beaches of Michigan City. Just south of this area is Starke County, and in this county is a great destination when renting an RV; Bass Lake. Our first camper van adventure and it was an incredible experience! My husband and I rented the van for a trip to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with our 11-year-old daughter, and it couldn’t have been better. For starters, Lisa and Bill were awesome to work with—flexible, responsive, and just genuinely good people. The van itself was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable camping adventure. It was spacious, cozy, and felt just like home on wheels. While we didn’t end up using the shower, it was great to have the option, and the composting toilet was a total bonus (and odor free:) I had never driven a vehicle that size before, but it handled beautifully. We’re already dreaming about our next adventure in the van!
