One of the easiest ways to explore southwestern Michigan is to search for an RV rental in Van Buren County. This county is home to Van Buren State Park, and aside from the state park, there are many delightful natural and man-made attractions to explore in the area. The park itself is home to over 400 acres of land that is located along the shores of Lake Michigan. The park was officially founded in 1965 with the purchasing of 167 acres of land from a local family. Two more land purchases over the years has helped bring the park to the size it is today.

While RV camping at Van Buren State Park guests can easily explore nearby cities, such as Kalamazoo to the east, St. Joseph to the south, and Holland to the north. Because the park lies on the shores of Lake Michigan, the only thing that is directly to the west of the park are the pristine, blue waters of a Great Lake. Be sure to bring your swimsuit when renting an RV to explore the area, and don’t forget your sense of adventure.
