Fort Custer Recreation Area is somewhat of an angler's dream come true. The numerous lakes within the recreation area bounders all offer fantastic fishing, the easiest to access are Eagle Lake, Jackson Lake, and Whitford-Lawler Lake. Not only can fishermen and women fish out on these lakes, but they can also fish from the banks of the Kalamazoo River, which runs through the Fort Custer Recreation Area. Camping at Fort Custer Recreation Area

Facilities here include a dump station, flushing toilets, a shower bock, picnic tables, and fire rings. There are also many pull-thru sites here, so all sizes of rigs are welcome. Pets are also welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times.

With Fort Custer Recreation Area being so close to both Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, day trips and sight-seeing opportunities are all within a stone's throw.
