If Sakatah Lake State Park is known for one thing, it is its abundance of hiking trails. There are miles of trails to explore, all of which vary in length, difficulty, and terrains. Big Woods is a short loop that is ideal for a short stroll through the woodlands, and the Wahpekute Trail offers wonderful views of the lake. Part of the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail stretches throughout the park and the city streets of Waterville. Overall, this long trail is 41 miles long and is paved, ready for a range of uses such as biking, hiking, in-line skating, and snowmobiling in the winter.
Camping at Sakatah Lake State Park
Campers can camp directly in the state park RV campgrounds, at Sakatah Lake State Park, which has 62 sites available. The sites are arranged in four loops, with some offering electrical hookups. Bring the whole family, including your pet, and make the most of the beautiful surroundings. Amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, drinking water, and grills. During the summer months, the sites can be reserved well in advance to ensure you get the best spot.

FlyOver America is located in the Mall of America and is a ride like no other. While staying safe in your seat, the simulator will allow you to fly over some of the most iconic sights in the state, with added effects such as winds, mists, and smells to make it feel as though you are there. A dream week in a dream adventure van! The pickup was super easy. Cole was kind and patient, taking us through each part of Kevan to get us oriented to this robust little workhorse of a home on wheels. It's a veritable power wagon handling highway miles with safety and speed with just the kind of get-up-and-go you want! We trekked to The Black Hills to stay in Custer State Park on Sylvan Lake. We were right at home. The queen size bed was perfect. There is tons of room for storage beneath. Everything in the van is thoughtful and well placed: bungees, ties, hooks for the ceiling, storage bags like saddle bags tucked in all the right places. The seats were comfortable. We turned them about for playing card games, trivia night as well as a rousing game of MadLibs with the three 14-year-old boys we hauled through the Badlands. Airy at night with great ventilation. We miss Kevan already.
