Clark's Hill is the location of a camp where famous explorers Lewis and Clark camped during 1804, and visitors can retrace these intrepid explorers' footsteps through a series of trails. The trails take hikers past Native American mounds that are mentioned in Clark's journal and lead up a hill that provides stunning views of where the Osage and Missouri rivers meet. During this historical hike, visitors should keep an eye out for the park's wildlife, including an abundance of bird species, including downy woodpeckers, American robins, and green herons.
