The Great Outdoors
When it comes to wild nature and recreational activities the highlight of New Hampshire is the White Mountain National Forest which is located roughly 100 miles north of Bedford. You can book an RV in Hillsborough County and drive to Woodstock. From there, you’ll be able to access many of the park’s facilities. This stunning national forest is home to many beautiful alpine lakes and cold-water streams, as well as snow-capped peaks and hardwood forests. This is the best place in the state for hiking, with over 1,200 miles of non-motorized trails. You can prepare a daypack and hike to Pine Mountain, Evans Notch or Mount Hedgehog. Alternatively, you can pack a tent and head to the Appalachia Trailhead. Mountain biking is also possible inside the forest in the Saco Ranger District or the Androscoggin Ranger District. Water sports, such as paddling and swimming, or winter activities, such as skiing, sledding, and shoe-shoeing, are also available in the White Mountain National Forest. We had a fantastic time. Michael was very responsive and answered any questions we had, both before and during the trip.
The RV was big enough for us (2 adults and a dog) but also manageable enough to maneuver in and out of campsites, parking lots etc. Very comfortable.
All the extras like camping chairs and stove were great - we just brought our clothes and food and off we went!
We’ve camped in the past but lately have been thinking whether we might like to get an RV. This was a perfect way to test out what it would be like. Renting with Michael made it feel very doable- he walked us through everything with patience and really wanted us to enjoy our vacation.
