Getting Outdoors
Palisades Interstate Park contains over 30 miles of hiking and ski trails, with two main trails making up the majority of the trail system. The Long Path is one of the main trails and travels along the top of the cliffs, offering great views of the river below. The Shore Trail is the other main trails in the park, and as the name suggests, runs below the cliffs along the shore of the river. There are five smaller trails that connect the Long Trail to the Shore Trail, which offer New York campers the ability to swap between the two.
Camping at Palisades Interstate State Park
One of the closest state park RV campgrounds to Palisades Interstate Park is located in Beaver Pond State Park. The campground here offers both tent and trailer sites, as well as space for larger vehicles. Each campsite comes with a picnic table and a fire ring, and on-site, you'll find clean and modern comfort stations, showers, laundry facilities, and a dumping station.

When it comes to things to do in the area, you have the city of New York on your doorstep, so the options are near enough endless. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is famous all over the world, charting 5000 years of applied and fine arts from across the globe.
