Thomas Edison, the very one known for inventing a lightbulb, phonograph, and many other gadgets, set up his lab and home in the area in the late 1800s. He became known as the “Wizard of Menlo Park.” After his death in 1931, the town, needing to change its name to avoid confusion with an identically named town elsewhere in New Jersey, chose “Edison” to honor the prolific inventor.

My wife and I rented this RV for a quiet weekend getaway to The Poconos. We were thrilled to be able to bring our dog with us. The owner was extremely helpful and communicative. The RV was the perfect size for a couple looking for a weekend away that feels cozy, but also has plenty of space. We were able to cook in the kitchen area, enjoy s’mores outside with provided chairs and have breakfast looking out the adjacent window. The bed was also the perfect nook for snuggling up in the chilly nights, while still being large enough to spread out. All in all, we would absolutely book again.
