Green Acres Family Campground

The campsites at the Green Acres Family Campground are just ten minutes’ drive from Williamston, where you’ll find several supermarkets for picking up grocery supplies. There are also gas stations here if you need to fill up your motorhome rental and a wide selection of eateries that include fast-food restaurants, barbecues, and an oyster bar. While you’re in Williamston, don’t miss a visit to the Senator Bob Martin Agriculture Center, a state-of-the-art indoor coliseum where rodeos and dressage events are regularly held. It features two modern barns and almost 300 horse stalls, as well as seating for 2,400 people during ATV and motocross races, circuses, and boat shows. Also in Williamston is the Asa Biggs House, a historic residence that was once the home of U.S. Congressman Asa Biggs. It was constructed in 1835 in a Federal style and later enlarged with a Greek Revival addition, with the Martin County Historical Society now occupying the site. The Asa Biggs House forms part of the Williamston Historic District, which features impressive examples of Gothic Revival and Colonial Revival architecture dating from the early 19th century through to the 1940s. Its 368 contributing buildings include the Williams-Knight House and Frank N. Margolis House. Fort Branch Confederate Earthen Fort Civil War Site is a short drive northwest of the campsites at Green Acres Family Campground. Its displays include seven of the fort’s original 11 cannons, as well as 18th-century pottery and Native American artifacts. The site is considered one of America's best-preserved earthwork sites. Coincide your visit with the annual battle re-enactment, which takes place at the start of November each year. Whether you want to wildlife spot in the coastal reserves of North Carolina or catch a rodeo in Williamston, book a travel trailer rental in Martin County and start planning your next Tennessee camping vacation.
