History lovers should plan to spend some time at the Fort Meigs Historic Site. Known as “Ohio’s War of 1812 Battlefield,” Fort Meigs is a reconstructed replica of the original. However, a lot of the earthwork of the original fort is still visible. Visitors are encouraged to explore the grounds. You’ll get to learn more about the multiple battles fought here, see historic photographs, and maybe even see a reenactment.
