The Great Outdoors

An interesting place to visit is Seneca Caverns, discovered in 1872 by two young boys, Peter Rutan, and Henry Komer. While out walking, their dog chased a rabbit into some brush, and they both disappeared. When the boys went to find their dog, they fell through a hole to the first level of the cave. Luckily they found their dog and returned home to tell of the discovery. Since then, a total of seven levels have been discovered to a depth of 110 feet, along with an underground river. Guided tours, lasting around an hour, are available. There is plenty of parking at the caverns, even for your luxury RV rental from Monroe.

RV Parks

Right on your doorstep when you collect your RV rental in Monroeville is the Gotta Getaway RV Park. Located next to a pond, with some RV sites on the water’s edge, this RV Park could be a great getaway for a relaxing vacation. With a large swimming pool, playground and sports facilities, the kids should keep themselves amused. The campground has full hookup sites, either back-in or pull-thru with washrooms and a laundry on-site.

Exploring the City

For an interesting and educational few hours, head to the Thomas A Edison Birthplace Museum in Milan. Born in 1847, the small brick house was his childhood home and features a collection of rare Edison items. The exhibits include early inventions, documents, and mementos kept by the family.
