RV Parks

Heading east of town in your RV rental from Oak Harbor you’ll find the White Caps Motel and RV Park, literally minutes from Lake Erie. This RV park is located in a lovely woodland setting, with full hookup sites with both water and electricity. Boat dockage is available if you fancy taking a boat out into the water, as canoes and kayaks are also welcome. If boating is not your thing, the park is walking distance to the lake-front and river-front marinas as well as some nice beaches. As the resort is also just minutes from downtown Port Clinton, you’ll also have the convenience of the local shops and restaurants for you to enjoy during your day out.

The Great Outdoors

If you don’t want to stray too far from town to enjoy the great outdoors, then point your Oak Harbor motorhome rental towards Lake Odessa Village Park. The park is a perfect place to enjoy a little stroll, have a picnic with family and friends or just relax in the fresh air. For the kids, there is a large wooden play area which has been named ‘Swifty’s Place," a structure that is lovingly restored and maintained by the locals in the town so that kids of all ages are able to play.

Exploring the Town

Although there are lots of events on the Oak Harbor calendar throughout the year, perhaps the biggest and most loved is the Apple Festival, which is attended by thousands of people from all over Ohio, it occurs on the second weekend of October. Expect to see a grand parade, rides, plenty of food stalls, a talent show, 5K run, car show and much, much more in a weekend packed full of family-friendly activities.

Our family had a great time on our trip to Texas using Joel's RV. It was clean, safe, and affordable. Joel answered all our questions and was available, and even reached out to us to see how we were doing. It was a pleasurable experience and I highly recommend renting from Joel and will certainly rent from him when traveling in the future.

Rick and Jill were very attentive to any questions we had whether prior to departure or along the way to Texas. There were 5 of us for this adventure. The listing is accurate with the amenities provided: Keurig, crockpots, warming tray, utensils, bedding, pillows, grill, outdoor chairs, silverware, paper plates, cups, serving trays...all we needed to do was stock the refrigerator which we did! The RV was comfortable for my 83 year-old aunt who traveled with oxygen along with my parents who are also in their 80s.
