Spavinaw Lake is located in northeastern Oklahoma near the state borders, between the towns and cities of Tulsa, Fayetteville, AR, and Joplin, MO. This man-made lake was constructed in 1924 by the damming and impounding of the Spavinaw Creek and provides a constant water supply to the city of Tulsa, fifty miles west of the lake. Spavinaw Lake’s close proximity to many major cities in Oklahoma, combined with its excellent recreational opportunities, both make it the ideal place to take an RV rental. Access to the lake with a rental RV is made even easier with Highway 20 crossing the nearby western edge of the lake. Campsites can also be found throughout the county, making camping with an RV here a simple undertaking.
