Discover Hegins RV rentals for memorable road trips

The area that would later become Hegins saw its first settler in the area, a half-Indian who went by the name Hager. He lived in the area in 1775. Heginsville, later shortened to Hegins, was officially founded in 1850 when a post office was built, and the locals chose its name in a nod to a respected judge, Judge Hegins. The main industries in the town during the 19th century were a small grist mill (flour), sawmills, and coal mines.

Exploring the City

A Hegins travel trailer rental makes it incredibly easy to get around central Pennsylvania and to find your adventure. The Rausch Creek Off-Road Park in Pine Grove is one of the few legal off-roading parks in Pennsylvania. Go off-roading with a four-wheel drive Jeep, truck, or SUV. The 3,000 acres park has a mix of easy, intermediate, and challenging trails. Heads up: there is a two-vehicle minimum, in case a driver gets stuck in a mud bowl and needs rescuing.

We had an amazing adventure with our family in the RV. Traveling 8 hours in the RV was so relaxing. The bed is very comfortable to sleep in…even in a thunderstorm! We would definitely do this again.
