There are many pull-thru sites at Parkers Crossroads RV Park, meaning all sizes of rigs are welcome here.

A little further west of the lake will take campers to the Parkway Village RV Park. Here campers will be provided with full hookups, including 20, 30, 50 amp electric, water, and sewage. Facilities include a laundrette and even an on-site swimming pool. Pets are more than welcome here but must be kept on a leash at all times.

The nearby city of Jackson is a great location for day trips from Carroll County 1000 Acre Recreational Lake. The city is a hub of attractions, many of which are perfect for the whole family to enjoy. One such place is the Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum. This museum displays a wide range of exhibits dedicated to the famous train engineer Casey Jones and his heroics during his final moments. There are also three authentic rail cars, including one driven by Casey Jones himself. The museum also boasts an interesting Civil War exhibition entitled, ‘the railroads and the civil war in Tennesse.' This is a must-see for any history enthusiasts in the city of Jackson.

Jackson is also home to the ‘Rusty’s TV & Movie Car Museum,' a museum showcasing over twenty-five iconic cars used in TV and film. The museum is home many of the original cars used in the shows and can only be seen here. Cars include the ones from The Fast and The Furious, Death Race, Batman, The General Lee, Scooby Doo’s Mystery Machine, and many more. No visit to Jackson would be complete without a visit to the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. This hall of fame museum exists to honor the founders of one of the most iconic genres in early modern music. Jackson was chosen as the location for the rockabilly hall of fame as it was halfway between Memphis, home of rock and roll, and Nashville, home of country music. The museum boasts a wide range of rare memorabilia, photographs, and video interviews with the founders of the rockabilly genre. This is a great day out for lovers of music and early 20th-century pop-culture.
