Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park is a park located in the northwestern part of Tennessee in Benton County. The park is named for Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Confederate general who conducted different campaigns in the area. Much of the land of the park is built on the site of the Battle of Johnsonville. Johnsonville was a strategic stronghold for the United States Army during the Civil War.

The park also offers public boat docks and commercial marinas. Those who have fished Kentucky Lake say they’ve caught striped bass, largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, catfish, bream, and sauger. It’s considered one of the best fishing lakes in the area.

Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park offers three different campgrounds for RV campers. Happy Hollow Campground and Lakefront Campground are accessible by RV. Happy Hollow has 37 campsites. The sites offer water and electric hookups, and also have tables and grills. Self-contained rigs are able to dump waste at the dumping station while the entire campground shares a playground and a bathhouse with showers.

Bryan provided a fantastic experience for our family! This was our fiest time renting a camper and we had everything we needed and more. The toyhauler had solar, propane, and a generator for all our power needs! Bryan went above and beyond answering all our questions and preparing it fully so we could get right onto our adventure! We had more than enough room for our family of 3 and two dogs (and their large cages). The bed was so comfortable and the shower and bathroom spacious! The fireplace was enjoyed each night - cannot say enough wonderful things! We would (and plan to) rent from Bryan again - top notch experience!!!

Our trip went great with this RV. We took it to Big Rock TN to spend the weekend with some friends. Willy and his wife were fantastic at answering any and all questions we ha and we would definitely recommend working with them 100%.
