Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park is a park located in the northwestern part of Tennessee in Benton County. The park is named for Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Confederate general who conducted different campaigns in the area. Much of the land of the park is built on the site of the Battle of Johnsonville. Johnsonville was a strategic stronghold for the United States Army during the Civil War.
