Just under 20 miles north of Henderson is the thriving city of Jackson, Tennessee. This gorgeous region was once home to many tribes of Native Americans, who used the plethora of rivers for means of transport, trade, and agriculture. Remnants of their occupation such as arrowheads and stone mortar bowls can still be found within the rolling hills and vast expanses of trees. European settlers eventually took hold, and with them, brought cotton and eventually, a railroad system.
With so much industry developing around Jackson, the population grew to the wonderful community that exists today. Although it's one of the largest cities in all of Tennessee, escaping into nature when you rent an RV here is as easy as driving out on one of the town's three major highways to the mountains. If you're looking to find a way to explore the natural, historical side of this true Southern state, book an RV in Jackson and hit the road.
