When it comes to their parks department, Allen is truly second to none. Part of the city’s master plan was to have all residents living within a half-mile of a public park at any given moment, and they have succeeded. Sixty-seven parks accounting for 1,200 acres of communal space and 65 miles of hiking and biking trails are reason enough to trust that Allen takes its outdoor recreation quite seriously. The Cottonwood, Mustang, and Watters hiking and biking trails keep the town connected, so people can freely move around by foot or by bicycle. Aside from the many parks, there is an ice rink, a public golf course, and a public city pool for all to use. Celebration Park is the most interesting of the public parks, due mainly to the fact that it has a wonderful water park, pavilions, playgrounds, tennis courts, and many other fine features.
City Sightseeing
When you rent an RV in Allen, TX, there are numerous activities awaiting you. Downton Allen is one of the most stunning areas you could imagine, with a seamless blend of urban city squares and fantastic nature landscaped to perfection. The Allen Premium Outlets are a local staple for their excellent location and prices. Parking is easy in the huge parking lot, and the retail stores are plentiful. When you work up an appetite, there are loads of dining options and breweries available as well. The Allen Event Center is important as it hosts many of the local sporting events, ceremonies, celebrations, and live music events. Minor league hockey games can be seen at the Allen Event Center too, home to the Allen Americans ice hockey team.
RV Parks to Visit
The Allen area has a bevy of RV parks scattered around, as well as gas stations and shopping centers. East Fork Campground is on the southern shores of Lake Lavon. Here, campers can enjoy swimming or boating in the lake. Lafon’s RV Park is also on Lake Lavon, and minutes from local golf courses, museums, shops, and eateries.

Fantastic camper, had everything we needed, and then had things we didn't even know we needed! Josh was great to work with. He delivered our camper for us in perfect condition. Very spacious, loved the recliners and king size bed! Table was perfect for playing games. Can't wait to rent from Josh again.
