Getting Outdoors

One of the main attractions that bring campers to Brandy Branch Reservoir is the fantastic fishing opportunities here. The reservoir is home to a wide range of fish species, each with their own sporting appeals. Bluegill and sunfish are here in high numbers and make up the majority of fish in the reservoir. American Electric Power and the city of Longview have installed additional structures made of recycled Christmas trees, and this encourages the habitats of largemouth bass to bloom. Whether Brandy Branch reservoir campers choose to fish from the shoreline or take a boat on the water, fishing here is often successful.

Camping At Brandy Branch Reservoir

When camping at Brandy Branch Reservoir, there are two main choices for RV campers. Both of the sites are located a short drive west from the reservoir itself. The first campground is known as Cowboy Camp RV Park. This RV park offers a wide range of amenities to campers; these include 20, 30, 50 amp electrical hookups, water hookups, and sewer hookups. The campground also accommodates all sizes of rigs with their many pull-thru sites. On-site facilities include a shower room, a dump station, and even a horse corral.

Exploring The Area

For RV campers looking for a little bit of artistic culture after a weekend lakeside, then they should take the short drive to Longview and visit the Longview Museum of Fine Art. This museum welcomes both the most ardent art enthusiast, as well as those with little knowledge of the subject. Since the late 1950s, the Longview Museum of Fine Art has been a key institution within the city, and it is easy to see why it has lasted throughout the decades. With an ever-changing range of exhibitions, the museum is a must-see destination for anyone visiting the city of Longview. Visitors will leave the museum with a new-found appreciation for the world of art.

RV was delivered on time and set up. I do think the price for this RV is a little high. Some things in the RV didn't work and the power tripped a few times over the weekend.
Overall, the owner was very helpful and did a great job in showing us everything.
