Longview, Texas is a lesser-known city in the Lonestar State, but an up and coming hidden gem nonetheless. This amazing community is known as one of the most rapidly growing cities in the country, and it's easy to see why when you take the plunge and book an RV in Longview.

The original settlement of Longview is accredited to Ossamus Hitch Methvin Sr. who sold a fraction of his land for pennies on the dollar to persuade the Southern Pacific Railroad to pass near the rest of his land and greatly increase its value. Since the pioneer days of the Old West, Longview has grown and grown, largely benefiting from the oil and gas industries that made the area rich. Now, this vibrant, little city is a common place to visit and rent an RV due to its excellent dining, shopping, parks, museums, and scenery. Longview is even a college town with multiple universities operating out of the city, adding to the diversity of the population and making it an intellectual hub. With short drives to Louisiana, as well as Houston, Dallas, and many of Texas’s other premier cities, using a Longview RV rental might just be the best way to see Texas and the gorgeous forests, rivers, lakes, and beaches it possesses.
