Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Located in Texas, Choke Canyon State Park is a beautiful place to visit no matter the time of year. The landscape is made up of gently rolling brushland which is crossed with small stream valleys. Today, where the Choke Canyon Dam stands was where the Gulf Shoreline was about 30 million years ago.
The park sits on the shores of the huge Choke Canyon Reservoir, first opening in 1981. It is split into 2 sections. The day use South Shore Unit which is located below the dam and the Calliham Unit, which is on a peninsula that juts out into the lake. It is a haven for birders and fishermen alike, while others book an RV in Live Oak County to simply admire the thick forests and watch the sunset over the water.
